Katherine Gunning (she/her) is a Portland-based photographer and emerging filmmaker with a background in documentary storytelling and a deep commitment to care-driven creative work. Originally from the American South, her work explores themes of belonging, identity, and place, often highlighting stories from the margins and the strength found in community. Her photography has supported a wide range of artists, authors, and mission-driven organizations. She is completing her Master’s in Multimedia Storytelling at the University of Oregon, and is in post-production on In Kind, her directorial debut.
